Samsung SmartThings to support thousands of IoT devices at IFA 2022
At the CES 2022 keynote, Samsung confirmed that it formed the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA) to enhance the interoperability of IoT home devices in SmartThings. Now, it looks like the collaboration will come to effect at the IFA 2022 in Berlin as Samsung SmartThings will get the support of thousands of IoT devices.
According to the information (via ETNews), The South Korean tech giant is likely to expand its IoT platform through the Home Connectivity Alliance at IFA 2022. The event is likely to take place in the first week of September where Samsung is expected to share more information about the Home Connectivity Alliance on 2nd Sep.

Announced back in January 2022, the Home Connectivity Alliance formed by Samsung includes several companies including American Standard, Arcelik, Beko, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Grundig, Haier, Leader, Trane, and Vestel. Therefore, we can expect products from these OEMs will gain Samsung SmartThings support.
