Samsung has just updated the Camera Assistant app to version 1.1.00.3 with support for the Galaxy S23 and its One UI 5.1 operating system. Release notes apart, an eagle-eyed tipster revealed a big improvement in Camera Assistant, which incredibly reduces 200MP shot and process delay on Galaxy S23 Ultra.

As spotted by IceUniverse, users of the Galaxy S23 Ultra can significantly reduce the 200MP camera shot and process delay by using the Camera Assistant app. The tipster even showcased how can you set up all the things and preferred Settings of the Camera Assistant.

Pay attention, Camera Assistant is a Good Lock plugin, which is available in a number of countries, globally. This application allows you to tweak the native settings of the Galaxy Camera app. Besides, you can make changes in the functionality of basic Photo mode as well.

Ice pointed out that the Camera Assistant app has the ability to boost camera shot and processing speed for Galaxy devices. 200MP camera shot delay is too long, as spotted in early tests, which can be normalized through the Camera Assistant.

Inside the Capture Speed toggle, there are two options including “Regular resolutions” and “High resolutions.” In the latter tab, you have two settings to prioritize the quality of speed for shots that will be captured in high resolution such as 200MP on S23 Ultra and 108MP on S22/S21/S20 Ultra.

The Quick Tap Shutter feature makes it possible to take pictures as soon as your finger touches the Shutter button instead of when you lift it off. You can still swipe or press and hold the Shutter button to capture GIFs burst shot, and videos but a picture will be taken too.

WhatsApp has released a new feature named Voice Message Transcripts, which allows users to transcribe voice messages into text. This update, announced by Mark Zuckerberg, is now available in the latest WhatsApp for Android.

The voice message transcripts feature is a helpful tool for people who prefer reading over listening to messages, or for those in noisy places where listening to voice notes is difficult.

To use this feature, you just need to go to Settings >> Chats >> Voice Message Transcripts in the app and turn it on. WhatsApp may also ask you to enable the transcription feature when you receive a voice message.

Notably, the transcripts are created on your phone, not on WhatsApp’s servers. It means your voice messages and transcriptions are kept private and secure.

To start using voice message transcripts, you’ll need to download a language data package. At the moment, the feature supports English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Hindi. WhatsApp also plans to add more languages in the future. Once the transcriptions are done directly on your phone, you don’t need an internet connection to use the feature.
