Last year, Google Messages get the ability to react to messages using an emoji. However, the reactions were limited to a few emojis and it was not enough. Now to meet users’ demand, Google is finally letting its Messages app users use any emoji for reactions.

Message reactions are a convenient way to express your emotions or sentiments on a particular message. Presently, most messages application, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Instagram, and more, has this feature. So why should Googe Messages stay behind?
To use this feature, users need to long-pressing on an SMS text or RCS chat and tap the new ‘plus’ symbol at the end. Here you will see the emoji picker built-in to Messages. There is also a search field at the top and 10 categories below. The emoji sheet will expand, with recently used emojis at the top, as you scroll down.
Google has started rolling out a new update for its Messgaes application for all Android smartphone users widely (via 9To5Google). However, the update might have not reached everyone at the same time, some users should get it in the coming days.
