Samsung has kicked off an April 2023 security update for Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which brings a new period tracking feature and improvements to deliver a better experience.

According to the changelog, the latest firmware of Galaxy Watch5 has updated the Samsung Health app to add a period tracking feature. Now, the watch will predict your period date by taking your skin temperature.

Previously, you could only track your menstrual cycle based on the calendar through the Samsung Health app, but now you can also know the estimated date by the skin temperature measurement option.
