How to customize apps on your Samsung Galaxy Watch

Installing apps

How to install apps using the Galaxy Store app

1. Open the Galaxy Store app.
2. Tap the Watch tab.
3. Find the app you want, tap it, and then tap Install.

How to install watch apps using Galaxy Wearable or Samsung Galaxy Watch (iOS)

1. Open the app, and tap the Discover tab.
2. Tap on View more under featured watch apps to browse all options.
3. Find one, tap it, and then tap Install.

Arranging apps

When you are using one specific app, but sometimes it takes much effort to navigate to it on your watch. One way to do is simply change the order of how apps display on the Watch Apps screen.

Please follow the steps outlined below to reorder apps.

1. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app.
2. Swipe to and tap on Apps > Reorder.
3. Tap and hold an app, drag it to the desired position.
4. When you are done, tap Save.

You can display your most recent apps first.

1. Tap App order.
2. Tap on Most recent first.

Note: The most recent first feature does not allow you to customize the app order at the same time.

Uninstalling apps

If you don’t use certain apps anymore, deleting them from your Galaxy Watch can save you more space.

1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app, and then tap the Home tab.
2. Tap Apps > Manage apps.
3. Tap the Delete icon (the trash can) first, select the app you want to remove from the Galaxy Watch Active2, and then tap Uninstall.

To delete apps directly from your watch

1. Navigate to the Watch Apps screen where the app you want to uninstall.
2. Tap the Delete icon on the app.
3. Tap the Check mark to delete the app.

Hiding apps

Some preloaded apps that you don’t use on your smartwatch cannot be uninstalled or disabled. However, you can hide it so it won’t bother you anymore.

1. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app, and then tap the Home tab.
2. Tap Apps > Manage apps.
3. Tap Hide next to the apps you want to hide.
4. Tap Save when finished.

You can also unhide apps whenever you wish to.

1. Tap Add next to the apps you want to unhide under Hidden apps

2. Then tap Save again. Now, the app will appear on the Galaxy Watch Active 2’s Apps screen again.

With the One UI 6.1 update, Samsung has moved the video call effects feature settings to the Quick Panel. Now, you can access and change video call effects without having to navigate through multiple screens. When you pull down from the top of your screen, the Quick Panel appears.

Here’s how to set up Video Call Effects:

You can easily use the Video Call effects on your Samsung devices, just need to follow a few steps:

  • Start a video call using any app that supports video calling. Make sure you’re in the middle of the call before you try to change the effects.
  • While you’re on the video call, pull down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Panel. Pull down again to reveal more options.
  • In the Quick Panel, find the Video Call Effects button. Tap on this button to open the settings for video call effects.

  • You’ll now see several options to customize your video call. You can change the background, adjust your face effects, modify the color tone, or use automatic framing. Select the options that you like to enhance your video call.
