Samsung has released a One UI 5 Watch update for its Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro devices in the US, after launching it in several other countries such as India, Malaysia, Europe, and South Korea. The update also offers a range of new features, enhancements, and improvements to deliver a premium experience.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 are getting the One UI 5 Watch update on the AT&T network in the US and other carriers could get this update in the coming days or weeks. The update comes with a build version ending with BWH3 and an installtion package size of 1772 MB.
One UI 5 Watch allows users to easily add and customize new watch faces and tiles with albums or stories. Users can choose to have their watch face change according to the pictures in an album or story that they select or use a new vertical layout to find the best watch faces and tiles for them.
The update also improves the Samsung Health app that can automatically track cycling workouts, provide heart rate feedback during running workouts, and map cycling paths. Users can also choose whether to map their cycling paths automatically or not. The app can also sense when users start cycling and track their workout automatically.
Moreover, the update also gives more call options that let users adjust the volume, mute sound, and press keypad buttons from the watch. Users can also switch to voice input instantly by using the Home button. Moreover, users can set multiple timers at once, up to 20, to manage various tasks.
Furthermore, it also includes a backup and restore feature that can save watch data to the phone or Samsung Cloud periodically. Users can also share their medical info in an emergency by using a button that shows up when a hard fall is detected or when the Emergency SOS feature is activated. Additionally, users can check the status of the battery, storage, and memory and fix any issues with the device care feature.
The update also brings universal gestures that can control the watch without touching the screen or pressing a button. Furthermore, users can sort their apps in folders to find them quickly with less scrolling.
How to Update
To get the One UI 5 Watch update for Galaxy Watch 5, users can either connect their watch to their phone via Bluetooth and use the Galaxy Wearable app or turn on WiFi on their watch and check for updates from the settings menu. The update is expected to be available in other regions soon.

- RED and BLUE perform proactive attack and defense functions, seeking out vulnerabilities and taking measures against them.
- PURPLE is a special operations unit that acts as both a sword and shield for specific critical areas.
It’s worth noting that Samsung has deployed RED, BLUE, and PURPLE teams in various countries including Vietnam, Poland, Ukraine and Brazil. CTI is dedicated to identifying potential threats and stopping hackers from taking control of your device.
“Once we spot these kinds of threats, we collaborate with developers and operators to lock everything down for preventing attacks,” said Ranger, a CTI member.
